I tried to re create steak with Parmesan Shrimp sauce which I had at Applebee's. Theirs was too high in salt for me. My attempt was really good as it goes but the flavor of the steak could have been more. How can you get more flavor without adding a bunch of salt??? I added garlic and pepper and marinaded the steak with a little Italian dressing. Any ideas? Thank you for your assistance in this matter.

Try some nutritional yeast seasoning, found at Whole Foods or health food stores.

Thank you for taking the time for answering my question. I have tried one and did not care for it. Is there one that you have heard of or used that is especially good? Thank you again.

I wanted to say thank you for answering my question. I have not heard of the item of which you speak. But I am up to try anything. Are there brand names by which I can ask the store if they carry the item? Thank you again.

Nu-Salt was recommended to us by the nutritionist and it seems to satisfy Mr. Grumpy. I found it at one of my local supermarkets.
I also use a dollar store no-salt seasoning mix that we like better than Mrs. Dash and which adds a lot of flavor - sometimes you just have to experiment to see what works out for you and at least the dollar store brands won't break the bank.

I would advise to keep your salt intake very low. It is very harmful for your health.

I haven't tried it myself, but I hear that Benson's Table Tasty is a wonderful salt replacement. You could try it.
