My BF is overseas in Afghanistan right now and I would love to send him something cheesecake like. Cheesecake itself, is out of the question, I realize.

I've tried to find any jar recipes that might work. It takes two weeks for stuff to get there. Even something that is cheesecake flavored would work.

I don't know if it were "canned" persay like the cake jars are if they would be ok or not. I'm leaning towards no.

If anyone had ideas, I would love them!

    Hi, bcemtgirl.

Have you contacted your local Post Office or a military base to ask for suggestions?

Because I can't think of any particular recipe that might qualify for shipping easily or classify as a cheesecake. But I did do a quick search and came up with two (whcih I cannot vouch for any of them because I have not made any of them), but I thought maybe one or two might meet your needs.

    Cheesecake Cookies
    Crescent Sopaipilla / Sopapilla Cheesecake

    Good luck!

You could send him boxes of the dry Jello Cheesecake instant pudding mixes, he can prepare it with shelf stable milk, a can of evaporated milk ( not sweetened condensed milk ) or dry milk. ( he can use a fork to whisk ) and ready made mini graham cracker pie crusts. ( if the crusts break - he can sprinkle them throughout the pudding instead ).
