Wish I Could Cook

You are all soooo sweet and I really appreciate all your well wishes. And Loula, P L E A S E plan to come to visit. I would love that so much! Of course that goes for everyone. You will soon have a free room in Paris -- and no reason not to take advantage. And when you come, we'll make a meal with recipes from the current swap so we can post reviews and photos! Wouldn't that be fun?!
I'm going to pass up the February swap just because I have a bunch of trips and the angst that comes with transitions from one job and to another. (And I'll need to avoid the temptation that comes with browsing all those good recipes.) But I should be ok to jump back in after that. And of course I'll stay in touch. The only difference you'll notice is the time change of when I'm posting things.
And with my complete ineptitude in all things digital, how on earth did my picture change to the heart? It's totally cute and I love it, but I'm mystified...

Am I going crazy? I swear when I started writing this note, my photo was a heart. But when I hit "post" it went back to the pots and pans...

Why thank you for the well wishes!!! All is good. The whole house has been sick (upper respiratory and then stomach viruses) taking shifts. . .son then me then hubby then son again, then he got better, then he got sick again, then I got it again. . .and now we are all finally well!!! And in the middle of that we went to Chicago for a week, then hubby has been traveling extensively for business and there is no one to cook for. And on top of that, my job has gotten super busy - darn that work!

And just an update, I found out that I cannot put ANY food in my shipping containers. But I can take stuff in my suitcases.... I have a few trips over there between now and the final move, so I'm imagining the TSA screener scratching his head about all the jams, soy crumbles, oddball flours and seaweed that are going to be wrapped in sweaters and socks...

My review is finally in for Sharon's to-die-for Veggie-Rific Noodle-Free Lasagna.
As January Bride said, I've not only been sick almost all of January with a very bad cold, I also started a new job and I'm having to put some extra time in to help the finance department catch up on a few things, not to mention my learning curve getting in the way a bit.
This new job will most certainly limit my ability to tag and/or make my recipes on time. I'll just have to see how it goes.
Still looking forwrad to picking out recipes for February!
