Sugar cookie that doesn't break easily

Does anyone have a sugar cookie recipe that makes a good "tough" cookie - for a kindergarten class to decorate and bring home to mom?? Can't have one that breaks really easy... but want it to taste decent too??

She used the other side of the cookie cutter once, and it cut through the cookie. I said to just bake it. I call it "Black Dahlia."

Can they stand up to being decorated by class of 5-6 year olds. Says "stays soft for at least a week"

Our decorating skill is pretty much that of 5 to 6-year-olds, as you can see.

I think they can. Maybe make a test batch to see for yourself.
