Hi Elly...good to see your post. Have been working extra at work and busy trying to get ready for Christmas. Not so easy now that the kids are older. They don't want Tonka trucks and Barbie dolls....lol We had our first taste of snow today. Maybe an inch, just enough to say Winters here.

Nice to hear from you Sandy! I don't know where this year has gone! Christmas sort of surprised us all this year I think! I am not doing much shopping anyway... have a little baking to do also.. We had some snow a couple of weeks ago, then rain and very windy yesterday... rather see rain anyway@
Have a great holiday, don't work too hard, take time to smell the poinsettia as they say!
Hugs, Elly

Hi There,,had a dusting of snow today that melted as soon as it hit the ground, love it. Went shopping.Wasn't going to do any Christmas baking but now I am.Maybe I'm getting in the Christmas mood.Going to put up the tree this week-end as the boys are coming this Friday.
Not having to buy much as I'm giving them mostly money. They love to shop after Christmas.
Have a great week-end.

Going to decorate my house this weekend. Boxes have been out since Monday but I just have not had the energy to do it yet. During my ornament swap Evelyn sent me Greek lavender thyme honey so I am going to make Melomakarone . Will also try to get date squares done for my Dad and Butter tarts.
Have 2/3 of the shopping done and pretty sure what I want to pick up for the rest, so that helps.

Hi Nora, was wondering how you were doing? How is winter in the new digs. Not snowed in yet
I have been extra busy at work, with 40+ hrs these last 3 wks up to Christmas. Shopping is almost done. Need to go out and get the stocking stuffers. No wrapping done yet. Going to try to get the baking done this weekend. If it doesn't get done then, then its not going to. Hoping to make a carrot cake for dessert on the big day and want to do a tourtiere and turkey with all the trimmings. I am bringing my parents here this year so will be nice to work in a big kitchen instead of a seniors apartment closet kitchen.
Since the cold weather is now upon us I want to start a new thread...so you can find the Winter Wonderland here
