Hi everyone, wave.gif just thought I would let you all know I have been to the hospital this morning and great news! I have the all clear, my lump is what I thought it might be a fatty lump, I have had one removed before and it caused more problems than it was worth as it looked unsightly but I now have numbness where it was removed and a big scar on my leg so I have decided it's best left alone the doctor agreed with me he said unless it gets really huge (sometimes when they get really big they can become nasty) it's best left as it is he also said the stiffness in my shoulder is a bit of arthritis and the lump wouldn't cause my discomfort so I am a very happy girl today. icon_biggrin.gif

Tea Jenny, that is wonderful news! What a relief.

Research shows that laughing - besides being good for about everything - is particularily good for insuline levels icon_wink.gif

Thank you everyone I appreciate you all so much.

Mia I love this I should listen to that every morning it makes you feel so chirpy, the person with her Jammie's on is just like me when I get up first thing with my wee teapot and mug then plonk myself on the sofa and try to wake up, I think that tape would do the trick. icon_lol.gif

Hello to all my friends here. grouphug.gif

    awalde, your photos are gorgeous!

TeaJenny, so sorry to hear about your DD. I hope that the kefir, etc... help her to improve. Please keep us posted! My daughter was diagnosed with IBS, too. It's caused all sorts of havoc. She has been better this Fall (although not the past week..she is having a setback) by taking a perscription and an over-the-counter probiotic called Align. Align really seemed to help my DD. I had tried probiotics with her before with no success, but her GI doc said that the bacteria in Align specifically seems to work for a lot of IBS sufferers. I need to look up that book you mentioned! I should also look into kefir - I know I've seen it at Trader Joes and Whole Foods. P.S. I'm allegic to bee stings, too! Do you have an epipen?

Have you guys hear of krill fish oil? It's supposed to work in your system much better and more efficiently (and without "fish burps").

I'll head over to check out the December post. Thanks Andi dear!! icon_biggrin.gif

    Hi Kathy wave.gif
Hope your DD's setback has calmed down. It's really very difficult with IBS because there can be so many reasons for it.

I've read about krill oil, too. Haven't tried it yet but think it sounds very promising. Thanks for mentioning it!

Hi LG, my DD is like me in that she hates taking meds and would like to try with the kefir she said that she feels a lot better already and has been taking it for a few weeks now. I bought the grains on ebay and just keep it on the work top and add more organic milk to it every day it's a bit like sourdough you have to keep it alive. The book is excellent such a good read, I am using the kefir myself for moral support. My DD lost her hair before during her second pregnancy but it came back after the baby was born, but this time the baby is now 18months and was never coming back just more bald spots about 3 inches in size all over her head her hair looked so bad she had only a few strands left she made the decision to take it all off as every morning she got up there was more on her pillow and that was stressing her a lot she said it's not so bad now it's all gone, it just makes me want to cry for her but we are a very close family and we need to support her so we can't let her see us like that.
I hope your wee girl gets better soon, it's awful when you can't make them better isn't it.

Hi Mia. wave.gif Thanks!! You're right, it's SO hard to figure out. Still working. I hope you and your DH are doing well! icon_biggrin.gif

TeaJenny, you are so right about being supportive. It sounds like your DD has some pretty special people in her life. You are all lucky in that way. Keep us updated with the Kefir.
P.S. I don't care for her taking a lot of medicine and would like to eventually get her off the prescription. In fact, I'm wondering if it wasn't her acne medication that she took for a few years that caused the bacteria balance to go awry... I don't view the probiotics as medicine, but that's my personal viewpoint. icon_wink.gif
