Sounds like a terrific idea. I like the idea of using the bigger portabella mushrooms as a base for lunch sized pizzas too.

Wow, I can't believe I never even thought of that before... great idea. Can't wait to try it. Thanks so much. I'm with Heather Feather... wonder how many of those little ones I could eat? Quite a few I'm sure.

Also, the idea of putting cheese on a mushroom and putting it under the broiler made me think of tuna melts: Mushroom, tuna salad, tomato and cheese!!!! I'm new to the site, so I'm sure someone has already thought of that.

Welcome to Zaar!! This is a great place as I'm sure you'll learn if you haven't already been reading before now.
I'm the one that wondered how many I could eat....I bet we could put away quite a few, huh!

&& Hey if someone has already thought of it then I always say add or change 3 things and then the recipe becomes YOURS icon_wink.gif

Gday! I have even seen recently here on Zaar about making mini burgers and using mushrooms as the top and bottom like a bun if that makes sense...grilled or baked of course...and if u want a cheese burger u can melt the cheese (with sauteed onions, capsicum etc)

    the possibilities are endless

    hope this helps
