Party favors for Mom's 80th

Hi all.

Hey my Mom will turn 80 in October. I am throwing her a party at a very nice restaurant in Denver (she lives in CO). We'll have a cocktail/app/happy hour get together the Friday night before and then the next night the musical dinner.

Many a family member will be coming in from all over the US. I would like to get some things printed up, like coasters, candies, fun things to have on the tables as well as give a ways (party favors). I am having a hard time finding places to buy such "imprinted" items.

Do you have any suggestions of what to use as well as perhaps where to buy? I am in Texas but as you all know,
the internet is a plethara of goodies (just none that I have come across have delighted me as yet). So any ideas would be awesome!

I through a huge party for my fathers 75th in '04. I used the local Minute Man Press printing shop for the invites that were a photo of my dad's high school graduation and on the back a faded photo of all us "kid" all done in a sepia tone. I used the internet for most of the decor and party favors-even with shipping it was a better deal. For favors I used a photo from his college graduation and had them made into stickers and put them on Home Interior candles, the ladies liked that:) I also had wine tags made for small Luna wine bottles, I used Luna because I like the wine and the bottles are different bright solid colors. For the table it was photo confetti-I used several different age ranges of my dad mixed in with the regular confetti and ones that said age to perfection...I got the photo confetti, tags and stickers online and I don't recall what sight but I recall doing a ton of searching to get what I liked-that was the hardest part!
I asked everyone if they could scribble a little story or memory down or call me with one. I wrote those stories down (I found out a lot more than I wanted to know ) printed them on festive paper about index size and put them on the tables too and Happy Birthday lottery scratch offs. I hope I helped.

Thank you so much for all the info. Those are some great ideas. You are correct, there is a plethara of web sites and trying to narrow down is difficult at best. The other hard part is they tend to be geared towards weddings and not birthdays.

I love your idea about the stories. This will be great and everyone will have time. the party is in October but I have already sent a "save the date" and next week I'm sending more details, hotels and such so I will ask all to e-mail or snail mail me some stories they have.

Though this post is already old, I still want to give my own thought with regards to the matter. This is wonderfull and entertainment ideas for me.
how to celebrate 80th birthday party. It represents a celebrant's lifetime achievement.Thanks for sharing nice information!

I was going to suggest this myself, I saw the idea on Martha Stewart.

Plus, I went to a milestone party once and the host passed around a Anne Geddes year-long date book and asked everyone to write a birthday message or share a funny story on their birthday. Since it was a book meant for making appointments it offered enough space for everyone to write a message to the birthday gal.
