    Talk to me about salt. I have used regular salt, sea salt, kosher, and course salt but I have been noticing all these speciality salts. Are they a sham or is there something to them. I use very little salt and wondered if these salts might add some extra flavor?

    Made it to page 30 and learned a lot during my search. Found some great websites for spices and info. I must say I am wore out from reading the screen but was well worth the time and recommend it to all the newbies on here. Here is the only thing I found on salt

    smoked salt... ! good on something like chips or fresh fish but if you expect to get a smokey flavour by cooking with it.. think again...
