I've got the broccoli bread down pretty well now. Next on my list of 'things to try in a crockpot' are calzones. I think I can do it.
I read that they are called 'bastella' in Corsica, and that reminds me of the 'pasteles' of the Caribbean, which are very similar, or Jamaican patties. I'm going to try doing the calzone with my favorite Caribbean ground beef filling. They seem to be both about equal in difficulty, but pastelillos and beef pattis are fried whild calzones are baked. Baked is healthier, right?

yep....usually. I like calzones, but can't say I've had a healthy one yet.

Well, that's my goal, so,, hmmmm got any ideas? I was actually thinking of using like a ravioli meat filling, with some sauce,, haha or maybe like a sloppy joe,,, or,, like a beef patty only baked. There are pizzas that are kind of healthy,, so maybe like a healthy pizza folded over. What are some healthy pizza toppings? Could break up some sausage, mushrooms, tomato slices...
