German diabetes websites

Hello, everyone. I just came back from Lithuania (just ahead of the volcano!) and one of my favorite cousins is just diagnosed with diabetes. His wife needs help with diet/cooking suggestions, and as they both speak good German, I was hoping someone here might be able to recommend a good German language site that I could refer her to.

She has very minimal skills with computers, and unfortunately I had to spend all the time I had with her setting up email accounts, so I could not get into this. I am just hoping to send her links to useable sites, and my German is not up to par on something like this. I looked at the Lithuanian sites but did not think they were all that great.

How about sending her these?

The German-language Diabetes News site contains about 4,000 pages focusing on the diabetes patient. The URL is
http://www.diabetes-news.de/

and:

Die Glyklichen is a German-language selfhelp group for people with type 1 diabetes. The URL is
http://www.glyk.de/

and:

DiaShop.de in an online shop in German for people with diabetes. The URL is
http://www.diashop.de/
