I grew up in Germany (79-97) and before I was allowed Gluhwein, I was drinking Kinderwein. I'd like to serve it at an upcoming party for the kids. Anyone have a good recipe for it? Thank you.

    I found this online:

    Kinderwein
sieht aus wie echter Wein, schmeckt aber viiieel besser!
    - 1/2 Liter Wasser
    - 1/2 Liter Himbeer-, Erdbeer- oder Kirschsaft

Das Wasser mit dem ausgesuchten Saft verrhren.

I wonder where I can find cherry or raspberry juice...

Thank you, that's so much more than I found. I'm going to try Wegman's for the juice.

You could also make it using herbal tea (something red like rose hip, perhaps) mixed with apple or orange juice and some spices.

OMG we used to drink this as kids around the holidays and loved it. But it's so sweet. I loved the berry taste tho it left in your mouth.

A little different, but a nice option for a party:

    German Kinder Mandarinen-Bowle (Kiddie Punch)
