TYM - Theirs Yours & Mine photo tag game (October 09)Go to page 1, 2, 3 ... 26, 27, 28 Next Page >>
Hello and welcome! The game has it all folks! From brand new recipes, to photos, recommendations, and even reviews for your own recipes! It is played in 3 phases, and we hope you will enjoy playing. I, Bird, (of 2Bleu (Bird&Buddha)) am your host and game designer. It's recommended (but not required) that you have a minimum of 10 public recipes, as you will be able to offer up 2 of your recipes for each round you complete (a round is completion of Phase I & II). Quick Rules: 1. PHASE I - (Theirs) You can tag in this phase 1 time per day. Tag a newly posted recipe (of anyone’s) that has no reviews (it is okay if it has a photo already). Complete that tag (with photo) within 2 weeks and report back that that is now complete. *This is a great opportunity to find some real gems from non-gamers! 2. PHASE II - (Yours) You can tag in this phase 1 time per day. You can also report your completions of this Phase at any time, more than once per day. Once you have completed the review and photo of your tag in Phase I, report back that it is completed and in the same post, tag something in “The Offering Plate.” (found on pg 1 and you can also view them here: THE OFFERING PLATE Select one of the recipes and tag it. Complete that tag (with photo) within 2 weeks. *This is a great opportunity to find some real gems from our game players! 3.PHASE III - (Mine) Once you have completed the review and photo of your tag in Phase II, report back that it is completed and in the same post, immediately offer up two of your recipes and one recommendation to go on the Offering Plate (you must do this in the same post reporting completion of a Phase II recipe). NOTE: The 2 you offer up cannot already be in the offering plate/cookbook). *This is a great opportunity for you to offer up some of your gems! TAGGING RULES: This rule is for the tagging part only. You are only allowed 1 tag per day (00:00 - 11:59 EST) in each Phase. This means that if today you tag in Phase I or II, you cannot tag again from that Phase again until after midnight. In other words, the most you can tag in any given day is 2x. This rule is here so in this way, it creates a smooth running (or non-hectic) game. You can report multiple completions of Phase II in the same day. Last edited by CF game hosts on Sat Oct 17, 2009 1:15 pm, edited 5 times in total TYM DETAILED RULES
PHASE I You can tag in this phase 1 time per day. 1. Find a recipe to tag in PHASE I. One way is to.... 1. Go to the first page of the Recipezaar Home Page. 2. Go to the JUST ADDED feature on the far right side (it is located directly below the Chef of the Day feature). 3. Click “Recipes”. 4. Start scrolling through the recipes listed, and find a recipe that appeals to you. There will usually be multiple pages of newly posted recipes to scroll through, listed by the date the recipes were posted. You can find additional lists of new recipes by advancing forward one day at a time by clicking “Next Day”, or going back one day at a time by clicking “Previous Day” (located on either side of the date that is above the list of recipes). Another way is to.... 1. Go to the first page of the Recipezaar Home Page. 2. Go to the very bottom of the page and under the category of RECIPES, click "New Recipes". 3. Multiple pages of all new recipes posted for the current week will appear. Start scrolling through the recipes listed, and find a recipe that appeals to you. You can go back a week by clicking "Previous Week", or advance forward a whole week by clicking "Next Week" (located on either side of the week that is above the list of recipes). 2. Review and photograph each tagged recipe within 2 weeks from the date you tagged it. If you do not make the recipe by that date, you will be placed on the RESTRICTED list (see below). PHASE II You can tag in this phase 1 time per day. You can also report your completions of this Phase at any time, more than once per day. Let us know that your phase I tag is complete and tag a recipe from the game cookbook. The phase II available recipes are found lower down on this page under 'THE OFFERING PLATE'. You can also view them here: THE OFFERING PLATE 2. Review and photograph the recipe you tagged within 2 weeks from the date you tagged it. If you do not make the recipe by that date, you will be placed on the RESTRICTED list (see below). PHASE III Let us know that your phase II tag is complete and offer up 2 of your recipes and 1 recommendation (one you've previously reviewed). We keep a maximum of 60 recipes in the cookbook at all times. As new ones are offered up, the oldest ones get removed. If reports are not posted together, they will not be included in the update (and someone else could tag the recipe you tagged because of it). on the other hand... If you don't see anything that you would like to tag in the offering plate, simply hold off on reporting your completion of Phase I. New recipes come available everyday, but you do have to tag something before your 2 week deadline of PI, or ask for an extension for that reason. This game is really a test of patience, but that also makes it fun. hint: in your PI recipes that you've tagged, use the notes section and have your completion post all 'ready to go' minus what your tagging in the offering plate. That way, when you see something you like, you can do a cut/paste from your notes, and be quick to grab the recipe you want in PII. OTHER THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW: POSTING FORMAT: Record Keeping for games is a lot of work. We ask that all players use the following format for ALL reporting or mention of a recipe. The Phase you tagged should be listed first, followed by the recipe owners name, and then the recipe name as a link followed by the number retyped as text. You do not need to actually type the recipe name....just type the word recipe followed by the recipe number twice. It will turn into a link that gives the recipe name. Follow that with the date it was tagged. PLEASE DO NOT boldface, italicize, underline, or color any reports. This makes a lot more work for your hosts as we have to remove all the 'extras' to complete the update. We love to see photos in the thread, but we ask that you please put all of them at the bottom of your reporting post, not in between the reports of each phase. The proper format for reporting of each phase is below, replacing the recipe number for the x’s: Phase I phase I - 2 Bleu is tagging Recipe #xxxxx, #xxxxx by Newbie Phase II phase I - 2 Bleu has completed (or MERP'd) Recipe #xxxxx, #xxxxx by Newbie tagged 8/22 Phase II - 2 Bleu is now tagging Recipe #xxxxx, #xxxxx by Andi of LMF Phase III phase II - 2 Bleu has completed Recipe #xxxxx, #xxxxx by Andi of LMF tagged 8/25 Phase III Offering Plate - 2 Bleu is now offering up for tag: Recipe #xxxxx, #xxxxx by 2Bleu Recipe #xxxxx, #xxxxx by 2Bleu Recipe #xxxxx, #xxxxx by Sharon123 example: 2Bleu (Bird&Buddha) wrote:
Phase I - 2Bleu has completed Greek Spinach Cheese Rolls (Appetisers) #392848 by LDSMom128 tagged 10/04 Phase II - 2Bleu tagging Pumpkin Creme Brulee #251685 by Boomette ![]() Do NOT use the button marked ‘Recipe’ in the post screen above the text you are writing, because it does not work correctly. EXTENSIONS: Everyone has 2 weeks to make & review each recipe they tag. If you find you can not meet that deadline, you need to post a request stating that you need an extension. Extensions give you an additional 2 weeks to complete your tag. Only one extension will be granted per recipe, and extensions should be requested BEFORE the tag is due. If you do not make the recipe by that date, it will be considered incomplete (see below) and you will be placed on the restricted list. RESTRICTED LIST: Restricted players are still obligated to make the recipe, and are restricted from tagging anything new or offer any of their own recipes until they have made, reviewed, and photographed the overdue/incomplete recipe(s). MISTAGS/FORFEITING/INCOMPLETES/SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES: If you find that you can't complete your tag because of lack of ingredients, didn't get a photo, didn't like the way your photo looked, or any other reason or special circumstances, please let us know on the thread (or via zmail). If a mistag/forfeit/special circumstance is allowed, then you will be removed from the obligation. You will not be able to advance to the next phase however, but can begin at Phase I again. INCOMPLETES: Players automatically get a 2 week extension. However, if after 4 weeks of the original due date your tag is still incomplete OR if you have reported completion of one Phase but have not indicated your selection for the next phase, your tag will be removed and voided. What happens to the overdue/incomplete tags? For a Phase II tag, the recipe is returned to the offering list/cookbook making it available for another player to tag it. For a Phase I tag, the recipe is voided or kept with the restricted player who will need to complete the tag before they can continue playing further. INGREDIENT SUBSTITUTIONS: You are allowed, within reason, to modify a tagged recipe, changing ingredients or cooking methods as you choose. We do recommend that you check with the recipe owner if you are making substantial changes to the recipe to make sure that it is OK with them. Whenever possible, you should z-mail these questions to the recipe owner rather than posting them in the thread. If you do make substantial changes to a recipe and it does not turn out to your liking, we encourage you to add only a comment in your review and to rate it with no stars, since there is no way of knowing if the recipe didn’t work due to your changes. We want to get more players involved in the game, so........ THAT'S RIGHT FOLKS, ANOTHER PRIZE GIVAWAY! Whoever gets the most points wins. It's just that simple! How to get more players *Go through your recipes & your reviews, See who has taken a photo of your recipes, and invite them to play. You will see many folks who have not played any games in awhile. *May I suggest bribery? Offer to make one of their recipes if they use your name.
*Let those Phase I recipe owners know that they were tagged here and invite them to play (check to make sure they have at least 10 or so public recipes, and that they have photos posted, so you know they have a camera). *Tell them you'll walk their dog & do their laundry. Get creative, go fishing,... it is the holiday season after all, lots of cooking to do! RULES: A newbie is any zaar member who has never before played TYM. Make sure that they take photos and have at least 10 public recipes in order to play. NEWBIES: You can invite new players right away, and they will go under your name. But until you complete at least 1 round, their completed rounds won't count as points for you. Page 1 will hold the list of players/newbies/points gained so everyone can keep track. This prize will be big folks! The winner will receive a free premium zaar membership for 5 years, an all expenses paid trip for 2 to Hawaii, a spot on the Today Show, a parade held for you in your honor in your hometown,....... Okay, I'm lying. I can't get you all that, but it is a really nice prize. This is anyone's contest! The more total newbies we get in the game, the bigger the prize (up to a $100 value) GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!
