I live in australia and would love to get my hands on some suiker beestjes for my mother who is having chemo cravings at the moment. I'd be grateful if anyone living in Holland knows where I can order some.

I don't live in Holland at the moment but I will try to search for you and post later.....I think it might be difficult to get hold of them.
If I can find a recipe...would that be good ????

    50 gram poedersuiker(powdered sugar)
    100 gram suiker(sugar)
    3 lepels melk of water
    enkele druppels essence

Zeef de poedersuiker.(Sift the powdered sugar)
Laat de suiker met de melk of het water al roerend op een zacht vuur oplossen en daarna langzaam aan de kook komen.(Stir the regular sugar and the milk or water together over a low fire until it dissolves and let it gently start cooking)
Laat deze suikeroplossing 1 minuut zachtjes doorkoken.( Let it simmer for 1 minute)
Haal de pan van het vuur en voeg de essence en de poedersuiker toe.(Take it from the fire and add the essence and powdered sugar, stirring quickly to mix it.)
    Roer deze er snel doorheen.
Maak de vormpjes nat en giet de massa erin. Laat alles hard worden en haal dan de vormpjes uit elkaar.( make the forms wet and pour the mixture into them. Let the forms harden and take out)
Wil je citroen- of sinaasappelsuikerbeestjes? Rasp dan een paar suikerklontjes over de schil van wat citroenen of sinaasappels. Neem dan wat minder losse suiker voor het recept (1 suikerklontje weegt 5 gram).(If you want lemon or orange flavored beestjes, grate 2 sugar cubes over grated lemon or orange rind and use this as part of your regular sugar)
Kleur de beestjes eventueel door wat voedselkleurstof toe te voegen, maar gebruik er heel weinig van. (Add food coloring if you want color but use very little)Voor chocoladesuikerbeestjes voeg je 2 tl cacao aan het gezeefde poedersuiker toe. (For chocolate beestjes, add 2 tsp cacao to the sifted powdered sugar)
Hope this helps! here they have pics of them and a contact form to fill in, or call the number at the bottom of the screen.

    Thanks everyone.

I have emailed the place that makes them to see if they export to Australia.

Even if they do, I might try that recipe to see how I go ! I'll just use little chocolate moulds instead of the animals.
