    Yeah. This is all probably a big waste of time. It was just bugging me that the calorie count was so inaccurate. I guess no one really pays attention to the nutrition counts anyway.

    Sorry for coming in so late on this one, but...do NOT worry about nutritional information being calculated wrong on meats. When you say "1 lb ground beef" you mean the meansurement is raw. It is mapped to the USDA nutrient for cooked ground beef, but the measurement is "yield from 1 lb ground beef." So 1) we always try to map to the cooked version (when appropriate) because some nutrients are lost in cooking, you are eating it cooked, so we map to cooked and 2) meats always provide a "yeild from" measurement to map to weights. Obviously if you call for "1 chicken breast" we map to nutrients for "1 chicken breast", but if you call for "1 lb ground chicken" we map to "yield from 1 lb ground chicken". The USDA has been at this for some time...they are pretty smart.
