Happy Eid Sisters,

Alhumdillah, I am very happy to find Muslims on my favorite cooking website. I love to search for recipes on here and i have felt like all the world is busy celebrating christmas and noone knows about Eid. It is nice to feel like there are Muslims out there. May Allah bless you this and every Eid.

I am not Muslim, but we have friends of all faiths and so though our Muslim friends I DO know about Eid... it's the end of Ramadan

There are in fact two Eid Festivals in the year. We have the Lesser Bairam or Eid al Fitr, which breaks the month-long fast of Ramadan, and another which falls approximately 6 weeks later, Greater Bairam which in Arabic is known as Eid al Kebir or Eid al Adha, when it is customar for families to eat meat. These festivals happen ten days earlier each year. Hope this helps!!
