The Australian/New Zealand Cooking Forum is holding an Australia Day (Jan 26) / Waitangi Day (NZ - Feb 6) Menu Competition. These are days of significant importance to residents of Australia and New Zealand and we suggest you might like to Google to find out more about them. You can use other people's recipes to make a Menu.

Members are invited to submit a Public Menu they think would be a good Australia Day / Waitangi Day meal and post a link to it in the stickied thread in our forum. Non-premium members can just post a list of recipes to the thread and we hosts will write it up as a menu and submit it to the judges on your behalf. Entries are open to all on Recipezaar so we invite everyone to have a go creating a menu that you think would appeal to the region / event.

Menus will be judged on balance, use of local, seasonal ingredients, and suitability for the sorts of meals usually served on those days. Once again we suggest a bit of research here is all you need.

We are limiting the number of menus each particpant can submit to three.

Competition runs from Dec 24th until Feb 7 2007 with winners drawn on Feb 8.

The management of Recipezaar has very generously donated prizes for the top 3 menus of the competition. These prizes will include 12 month premium memberships.
