Hello Heather and Sylvie,
Just wanted to let you both know I tried your recipes out.
Sylvie - I could not find the garlic sauce here but I did find Zweibel sauce by Knorr and tried that. They turned out very good and just like what we remembered. The only thing I would do differently would be to add salt after adding the onion sauce and water to the mixture instead of before. For the cream topping I mixed chopped chives and parsley with sour creme and a little garlic salt. It was a very hearty dish.
Heather - I tried out your recipe too. It is very good but Sylvie's comes closer to what we had at the market. This was very lovely with our pork roast and French bread to get up every bit of the sauce. It has a refreshing lemony taste that balances well with the cream and wine. It was great the next day too.
