My rumtopf is now two days old and I can't wait 'til its ready for sampling.

Several years ago I vacationed in Mexico and brought back an assortment of rums (Myers, Appleton, Bacardi, etc.). I used all the little bits left to make the Rumptof which meant I tossed 4 empty bottles into recycling. Wonder what the neighbors must be thinking. icon_lol.gif

Wondering if you could make this brew with dried fruit. All that soaking, I imagine it could work but just wanted to see what others thought.

Actually, I couldn't find any fresh fruit I liked, so I have made mine with dried fruit. I'm thinking about using some of the fruit to make fruit cake, if there is any left after Thanksgiving.

    It's looking good so far.
