    I'm looking for a slow cooker that I can set to start later in the day....anyone know who makes one like this?

    Newbie "Fry Cook" Poster
    Just plug it in to a regular household timer (like for lights) and set it for your start time. Don't let the food sit out for more that a couple of hours, though, and make sure the food is really cold to start.

    I found a timer especially made for crockpots at a kitchen store...
