    Need a great white bread for toasting

    I am making bread for toast for breakfast tomorrow morning. I already have a maple oatmeal recipe that I want to try, but I need a good white bread as well. I use my KA mixer to make breads, so it doesn't matter if it's a bread machine recipe or not. I would prefer a bread with a slightly more dense texture.

    Please ignore the second rising. There's a lot of dough in this recipe so it will probably overflow in a normal sized pan if you let it rise more.

    Buttermilk & Honey Bread recipe #74223

    I know this post is a day late but you may want to try this recipe, I have been making bread for a few years now (I make mine by hand icon_smile.gif ) and this is one of, if not the best, white bread I have made, I have only made it once and I didn't make toast with it but I am sure it will make great toast. A very good bread for sandwiches and dinner rolls also.

    this is definetley late, but if you have tons of time and want a bread that's really really REALLY worth it, try brioche. There's a recipe by MeanChef somewhere on the Zaar. It's totally awesome by itself but so so SO good toasted. You won't want another bread again! icon_cool.gif
