    Newbie "Fry Cook" Poster
    looking for a rub to use on pork; I lost the one I used. I know it had brown sugar in it.

    Any help would be appreciated

    Hi and wellcome to ZAAR!!!!

    here we go
    2 different ones to start somewhere

    Cold rub

    1/2 c coarse salt
    1/2 c sugar
    1/2 c freshly ground black pepper
    1/2 c sweet paprika
    mix well and store in airtight container for up to 6 month

    great for baby back ribs!
    1/4 c sweet paprika
    3 tbsp dark brown sugar
    2 tbsp freshly ground black pepper
    1 tbsp pure chili powder
    2 tsp garlic powder
    2 tsp dry mustard
    2 ysp celery salt
    1 tsp coarse kosher salt
    1 tsp cayenne pepper

    this rub is for 1 tbsp per rack of ribs

    I have tons more, is there a special spice in it, or do you use the rub for all pork or selected cuts or a special style? Served dry or wet? etc Hope that helps and keep them porkers smokin'....!!!TZB

    Mean Chef has a great pulled pork recipe that I substituted the turbinado sugar with brown sugar in the rub. It is an excellent recipe.

    This is my favorite; it doesn't necessarily have to be used on fish, but it sure makes it more exciting!
    It's also good on chicken, pork and veggies:
