    Kroger's has White Lily bread flour on
    sale for .99 cents a bag and i was just
    wondering if it could be kept in the freezer
    and take it out the day before i need to
    use it ?

    Yes is the answer. When I buy any flours I take home immediately sift thru it all for any little creatures, then place into plastic tubs and place one in the fridge and rest in freezer. I just take out what I need a few hours ahead of time to get to room temperature before any baking.

    I am not an expert but I do know there are flour beetles or weevils in flour. Usually eggs can be in the flour no matter where or what.. so sifting the flour, and then freezing for two or three days will kill any larva or eggs .

    One time I opened a bag of flour and out came lttle worms, I guess larva ready to fly out of the package.

    I brought it back, and had my sifter and everything with me before I purchased anymore flour, and I did the job right there in the store, management was not pleased but, I wasn't going to have any get in my house....

    I repackage and store in glass jars or tupperware containers, and cereals, or rice, pastas, or grain products. I do this with nuts also.

    In summer hot weather I believe weevils are more inclined to be in flour or grains.
