    i was planning to bake this cake today, but when i went to pull the ingredients i realized that i don't have cake flour, just regular all purpose . will this make a difference? i see some posted here that use either one.

    I think cake flour is a must and it needs to sit overnight before eating.

    You will not get the same texture with a/p flour.

    When I don't have cake flour in the house I use this recipe Cake Flour Substitute recipe #87689. I've always had good results with it. Mean Chef is right, you won't get the same results with all-purpose in a cake flour recipe.
