    Eat Like Caveman

    Has anyone ever followed the Eat Like A Caveman diet? It suggests that one should eat only the foods that you can obtain, eat and digest without any technology. If you can get it while you are naked and the only tool you have is a sharp stick is the motto. By that definition it is a gluten-free diet as all of the gluten containing grains are inedible in their completely raw and unprocessed state. It goes beyond that though, in eliminating a large number of other foods, such as potatoes and tapioca and other grains, since these foods are also inedible unless processed and/or cooked.

    I followed this plan for several months at one time, and I really did feel good when I ate that way. I did miss a few items, but I felt better in general than I do when I eat some of those foods that it eliminates.

    You can eat all kinds of meats, fish, poultry, etc. You can eat all manner of fruits, leaves (lettuce, kale, spinach, etc), other kinds of vegetables, honey (raw), olive oil and coconut oil and coconut milk, nuts (but not legumes like peanuts and cashews), eggs and you are allowed to cook these items and/or process them into other forms, such as grinding nuts into flour, and blending nut flour and eggs to make a dough or batter.

    I don't know of anyone else personally, that has ever tried this. There are testimonies in books and on websites, but I have never spoken to anyone else to compare results or anything, so I was just curious if anyone here has ever tried this approach.
