    Finnish Cinnamon Rolls (korvapuustit)

I messed around with this recipe a little. I replaced the fresh yeast (well that's what it's referring to, I believe) with 7g (about 1pkg) dried yeast.

Then I did the fun mistake of using ground coriander(seed) instead of ground caradamon icon_rolleyes.gif luckily this turned out to be an okay subsitution (I found a jar of whole caradamon pods in my spice collection and compared smells afterwards - about the same sort of pine-y smell to me) and the cinnamon taste is above everything else anyway.

I used butter in the dough and margarine for the filling because I ran out of butter icon_smile.gif

They're soft, only lightly sticky on the bottoms and not very rich (or overly rich like cinnabon). Pretty good for random middle of the night cooking icon_twisted.gif

Your rolls are just lovely. I just posted an answer to your question about the sugar and spice in Q&A. A little late. icon_redface.gif

Oh those look lovely! I'm just sipping on a cup of coffee and one of those would go sooo well with it...

Beautiful work Heather, maybe one day even I will venture to make the recipe I posted!! icon_lol.gif

By the way, I think I just spotted a cultural difference in cinnamon rolls; ours sit on a different side icon_smile.gif
