  • Sprinkle the pork the salt and pepper then dip into the egg mixture.
  • Then from there it goes into the bread crumbs.
  • Heat the oil and fry until both sides are brown.
  • Don't fry too long you don't want to toughen the steaks.
  • Remove the steaks and add the onion, and peppers to the drippings and saute a few min.
  • Add the mushrooms, water, bouillon and you will bring this mixture to a boil.
  • In a small dish combine your cornstarch and about a tblsp.
  • of cold water and make a paste.
  • Add this to the pan and stir to make a sauce.
  • Stir constantly until your sauce is thickened.
  • Season with Salt, Pepper, Paprika, and Chili Powder, or Cajun Seasoning to taste.
  • Add your steaks, simmer for about 5-10 min and serve with a nice rice mixture, potatoes, spaetzle or even gnocchi.
  • If you want in that five min.
  • cooking you could sneak a little white wine in there to give it a nice flavor-- if it's a holiday!

  1. This was an awesome recipe. I used beef steaks instead of pork because my husband found the recipe first and told me to buy beef but, it was amazing. The kids want it again.

  2. Not a bad recipe at all. I thought my sauce came out a bit bland. I will probably use another bouillon cube next time around.

  3. This is probably one of the best recipes on recipezaar. I made this last night for my family and company. Everyone loved this dish and devoured every bit of it. I even left out the paprika because we did not have any in the house. Made this dish with Spaetzle (German noodles). OUTSTANDING!

  4. This was awesome. We were completely stuffed! Thanks

  5. This was very good. I used the cajun spices you suggested and had no leftovers! Thanks glitter!

I am an avid cook and recipe collector. I've been cooking since I was 9 yrs. old. I am the first American from my family so I cook many different European dishes, everything from west to east. If I had a month just to do what I would like to do...I would like to cook that month with a famous chef. I also write a bulletin for a Service to Mankind organization. Since I collect recipes anywhere I can see them, I've been asked to share them with my readers. So this site is wonderful not just for me!
