  • Brown the beef and sausage in a large pot.
  • Add chili powder and salt and pepper to taste.
  • Add cabbage, vinegar and tomato paste and simmer, covered for c.
  • 20 minutes.
  • i serve with warm bread.
  • Enjoy.

  1. Nice simple and yummy. I used only beef as I did not have the sausage - but I doubled the beef. Followed the recipe exactly other than that. Turned out really well and was easy to make. Thank you!

I live in Columbus, OH with my husband, my 18 month old son , Vaughn, and various and sundry animals. I may be revealing my roots but the Better Homes and Gardens cookbook is definitely my favorite. My favorite things to do are hang out with my son, watch sports (yankees and buckeyes) and take care of animals. I thought I wanted to be a chemical engineer in college but now I'm hoping to eventually go to vet school. :)
