Chocolate Pretzel Ring Candies

"Such an easy & quick candy, nice for any holiday thanks to the variety of holiday colors m&m's come in. This comes from an old magazine - was it Taste of Home or Quick Cooking? I can't remember, but they sure are tasty & cute! While the recipe calls for small pretzel rings, you'll get equally great results with mini twists and even Rold Gold butter checker pretzels if available in your neck of the woods."

  1. I have made these this way then changed to the Snyder's square pretzels, a Rolo candy, and either an M&M or another pretzel on top. I just have a preference for Snyder's pretzels.

  2. These were so much fun to make! They are super simple and my kids had a great time helping me out with these. We couldn't find the ring shape so went with the classic pretzel twist and still love how they came out!

  3. We make these every year as part of our Christmas cookie spread. We started making them because it was something the kids could do and we are still making them today just because they have become tradition. Simple and easy, but very tasty.

  4. We loved these for our holiday trays. Easy to make and look so cute. Loved them, thank you.

  5. Yummy! I made these at Christmas time and they were a huge hit with everyone! I used milk chocolate, dark chocolate and candy cane kisses. The favorite was the dark chocolate and I have had to make a huge batch of them 2 other times since Christmas. These will be on my Bake List every holiday!

  1. This has got to be the absoltely BEST recipe that I have come across for my kids to make!! It was soooo easy for them, all I did was put the tray in the oven and take it out...they did the rest. I had to use holiday Smarties instead of the peanut butter M&M's because it went to the kids school (peanut free), but their friends are raving about them! I also used circular pretzels covered in sesame seeds for half of them, and they turned out great! I prefer them to the regular salted pretzels.

Thanks for visiting my page! I'm a stay-at-home wife and mother - married for 20 years with a 16-year old daughter. It seems funny to be married so long since it just feels like yesterday when my handsome groom and I walked down the aisle. I love to cook and especially bake. I bake a lot less than I used to just because it's too tempting for me to have all those goodies sitting around. But give me a good snow day, and the oven goes into high gear! I like to sew & quilt, draw & paint, read, and play word games. My husband and I are total nerds -- we Tivo Jeopardy every day. :-) We all love old movies, especially anything with Cary Grant, Fred Astaire, Jimmy Stewart, Myrna Loy, William Powell, etc. OH - and Andy Hardy movies - they're the best!
