Apple Dip (It's Not Just for Apples Anymore)
"I love this dip, possibly more than caramel dip! HOWEVER, it seems I have limited it's possibilities by implying that it should be reserved for apples solely from the recipe's title. That is not the case!! WHY should you try this dip? Well the marshmallow and cream cheese dip is great, but I believe it's the cinnamon that really sets it apart!! I think you could put the ingredients on a long list of things, but I'll let you use your own creativity for that. I prefer it with very tart apples, such as Northern Spy or Granny Smith, but have used it with all sorts since dh likes sweet and softer apples. It is very good and very easy and can be prepared in advance, such as for parties."

- 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
- 1 (8 ounce) jar marshmallow creme
- 1⁄4 teaspoon cinnamon
directions
- Let cream cheese soften just slightly at room temperature.
- With a mixer, combine cream cheese and marshmallow creme until smooth.
- Add cinnamon and stir.
- Refrigerate until serving.

I've made this recipe for years, I use the small jar of marshmallow creme and it is delicious. I sometimes omit the cinnamon, especially when I use it with a tropical fruit tray using pineapple and strawberry. I also usually make sure to cream cream cheese well so I don't have lumps. Good stuff! -
This dip was excellent! I served it with Apples in Pajamas Recipe #320304. Everyone loved it, so easy to make too! -
I, too, have always made this apple dip, but I have never included cinnamon. I really liked the addition of it. It added that something special thats not usually there. I served this with both granny smith and red delicious apples, bananas and strawberries. Huge hit with my family. -
I've made this apple dip for parties and it has always been a hit! I add crushed salted peanuts to it for some crunch---the saltiness balances the sweetness of the dip :) Try it! -
I have to send a snack with my daughter for her valentines day party tomorrow. So I went and picked up some apples and the stuff to make this. Made it and tried it and LOVED it. The cinnamon makes all the difference!!!Thank you :)

Hey there! I am the wife of my dh, Steve, to whom I've been married a very short 12yrs. I am also the SAHM of three boys (11yo and 4yo at home, 23yo on his own). I just love to bake, especially for the high school football team here during the fall.
