As it is the recipe is going to be quick, easy, and good; but I want to make the same sort of soup using fresh ingredients: a can of tomatoes maybe but more likely 3-4 nice fresh tomatoes, diced fresh carrots, diced onion, some garlic, diced fresh potato. If I have them, I will use fresh clams! I could put in a bit more liquid and change the water to something more flavorful: Maybe some white wine, some veg or chicken broth. I have parsley in my garden and I can use whatever other herb I have there fresh. Will the soup work this way? I strongly think so and I predict better results even than the recipe here would make!

I hate to bake (almost as much as I hate to vacuum!), and I'll go to great lengths to avoid having to make cookies.
