1. I admit to having been somewhat leery of this recipe. I mean, BBQ sauce and sauerkraut???...puleeze!! My curiosity got the best of me, though, when I came home one evening and was absolutely starved. I needed something quick and easy. If nothing else, this recipe met those requirements ....dinner was on the table in 30 minutes. Well, we were sure happy campers. It really is good and you will not find an easier recipe on the planet, I swear. I will definitely make this one again. Leftovers are even better. Thanks for posting, Audrey.

 2. This was really good. I used Sweet Baby Rays barbecue sauce. We had it along with potato chunks. I loved the ease of putting this recipe together and it was on the table in no time. We will be making this one again sometime.

 3. This was very easy to put together and had a unique flavor. I cooked the chicken (45 minutes) covered so it came out moist. The sauerkraut added something special to this chicken without loads of calories. ....But, my family didn't like it.

 4. This was so tasty and easy. I love sauerkraut in almost any way, but had never combined it with chicken or BBQ sauce. I used Jack Daniels Hickory Honey sauce. This was so easy! I served this with mashed potatoes. Thank you Audrey for an awesome and easy recipe.

 5. We really liked this. I used a spicy BBQ sauce and it turned out a little spicy for my taste (my husband liked it!). I want to try it next with a honey BBQ sauce. I served it over mashed potatoes.

I am a mother of three and live in central Pennsylvania. My children were very active in after school activities and found we weren't spending anytime together at meal time. In 1998, I decided to start cooking my dinners in a crockpot so that we could have a home cooked meal together once everyone came home. My children now get so excited to see what we are having to eat and love the smell when they walk in the door. My family calls me the crock pot queen. LOL I use my crock pot everyday of the year.

My three children are now in college and before they come home they request their favorite meal. I still continue to cook in the crock pot for my husband and I. It is nice after a long day to know your meal is ready. It also helps in keeping my grocery bill down. With zaar, I can print my shopping list and that is all I purchase is the ingredients on that list.

Now, my two daughters have been crock pot cooking while in college. They find it is easy to cook for the themselves and their friends. It is an easy way to have friends over for dinner after classes

I still love trying new recipes and purchasing cookbooks, especially crock pot cookbooks.

Happy Cooking!
