Julie's Chocolate Chip Cookies

"Instant Pudding mix makes these cookies very soft. You can try different variations of pudding mix too--chocolate pudding mix with peanut butter chips, banana pudding mix with white chocolate chips, etc."

  1. These are so good!! I made banana creme cookies with white chocolate chips..took them to the hospital for my ER clinical rotation and they were gone in a second! Everyone was wanting the recipe, and commenting on how great these were! Only change made was that I added an overripe mashed banana to the sugar/butter mixture, then finished the recipe as written. The banana/white chocolate is a nice change from the normal chocolate chip, peanut butter, or sugar cookies we usually eat...a special treat for these tough days in the ER !! Will be making these MANY times in the future..I love the way we can change pudding mixes to jazz up the same ol' generic cookie !! THANK YOU FOR POSTING!! TERESA

  2. Very soft and moist cookie. I did, however, make my own variations. Here's what I did: I added 2 mashed over-ripe bananas, omitted the vanilla (the bananas added lots of moisture), used butterscotch pudding, and used butterscotch chips instead of chocolate. I did add an extra 1/8 cup of flour to help compensate for the bananas. These cookies were wonderful! My 5 year old ate 5 of them at one sitting! Even DH loved them, and he's not a real sweet-eater. Thanks for a wonderful recipe, one I'll be making time and time again in the future! :)

  3. Extremely good recipe! I'm known as the "ccokie queen" in my household and if I could be "king" this recipe would have earned me the honor. Very sweet & yummy. I recommend to all. DH & DS gave huge thumbs up on this one!

  4. Wow! These are so softand chewy. Instead of Vanilla Pudding I used a cheese cake pudding it was so good. I also added M and M instead of the chips. I know I will be making these again.

  5. "Like eating little bites of baked pudding" is what my boyfriend said with awe. :-) I made chocolate with chocolate chips and walnuts and they were quite good. I made these with sugar-free pudding mix to reduce the sugar content (so I could eat more!) and you can't even tell. Very easy and versitile. I can't wait to try other combinations!
