directions
- Pour oil into a plastic bag. Add potato slices and shake to coat.
- Coat a large diner plate lightly with oil or cooking spray. I used a 10 inch casserole dish, using cooking spray.
- Arrange potato slices in a single layer on the dish.
- Cook in microwave 3-6 minutes, or until lightly browned (if not browned, they will not become crisp). Times will vary on the power of your microwave. Mine took 6 minutes.
- Remove chips for plate/dish and sprinkle with salt, and other seasonings, if desired.
- Let cool.
- Repeat the process with remaining slices. You will not need to keep oiling the plate/dish.

Who could have guessed that potato chips could be made in the microwave? Not me! LOL But, these were great! I used a glass pie dish, and found that it only took about 2:15m -2:30m for mine to be crispy. (1100w microwave) They are best the first day, and are not greasy at all. :) I will be making these again, for an almost guilt free snack! I had to remind myself to take a pic before I ate them all up! Thanks for sharing, happynana! :)

Yum! We all enjoyed this chips. I made two batches because Little Miss (DD) ate the first batch before I could even try it. It took me six minutes for the potatoes to crisp, like the pack of chips you find on the supermarket store. I seasoned with freshly cracked sea salt and Cajun seasoning. Thank you so much for posting your recipe happynana

Very good ... My friend's g/f made them tonight but he is not on Zaar nor is she and since I gave them the recipe, I thought I should rate it. They said it took 10-12 in the micro, but otherwise it was great. They served a sour cream dill sauce with theirs. I did suggest to them to soak in cold water first for about 10 minutes and then dry well which they did. It just helps to crisp up Excellent, crisp, I need to try them myself, but they said it was a piece of cake. They did use russets. I did ask them that and kosher salt vs sea salt, which would not make a difference. Loved them

I am a real estate agent along with my husband, Mike. I enjoy meeting people and helping them sell or find a home. I have been happily married for 27 years. We have 1 daugther and 3 grandsons. My favorite recipes are from Paula Deen. I love to cook and eat -- that is why I workout 5 to 6 times a week. I enjoy Bible study, cooking, working out at the gym and reading. My husband and I love spending time with our grandsons who live about 45 miles from us. We are quick to give Our Heavenly Father credit for all the wonderful blessings in our life.
My pet peeves are greed and people who are always late. I love this site and it is so much fun. I have met many nice chefs while participating in the contests. I think it is unfair when chefs change an original recipe and then give a low rating.
The way I will rate recipes:
5***** Delicious Recipes that we enjoyed and will want to have again and again.
4****Recipes that I would make again but make some changes.
3***Recipes that I would probably not try again without some major changes.
I will not give a 1 or 2 rating as I know that the chefs that took time to enter the recipe felt it was deserving to share. I just have different tastes than them.
