Chocolate-Peanut Butter Milkshakes (Aka Peanutty Freeze)

"My husband and I, while we were still dating, used to meet at our local Red Robin after work for our midweek dates. His favorite drink during the sumemr was the Peanutty Freeze. It's basically just a chocolate and peanut butter milkshake. My husband was really disappointed when Red Robin changed their menu many years ago, eliminating the Peanutty Freeze altogether. My husband has missed this milkshake ever since. So I went on a search for the recipe so he would be able to have his favorite milkshake now and then at home. After much begging, I eventually came upon this recipe for the Red Robin Peanutty Freeze (chocolate peanut butter milkshake)."

 1. Yummy goodness! I made half the recipe for myself and I was kind of disappointed when I saw how little I would get to enjoy, but after I took the first sip I knew my sweet tooth would be satisfied. Deliciously rich. Thanks for sharing the recipe.

 2. Made this as I actually had all ingredients on hand. No blender so this got hand mixed and i used chocolate milk instead of water. Very yummy, very peanut buttery too but in a good way. Will make again!

 3. I made half the recipe for myself this morning and wish I had made it all, because it is soooo good! It is so chocolatey, peanutty, creamy and delicious! YUM!
I used Sydney Mike's Recipe #327904 in place of the vanilla ice-cream plus about 3 tbs of vanilla rice milk to make this vegan. Also I used cocoa powder instead of the drink mix and it still came out so decadent and chocolatey that I didnt miss the sugar at all.
This is such a wonderful creation that I will certainly make often again. I can completely understand why this is your hubby's fav drink! :)
THANK YOU SO MUCH for sharing this here with us, NorthwestGal!
Made and reviewed for one of my babies durin PAC Spring 2012.

 4. Yum! This was peanutty goodness. :) I've never had the Red Robin shake before as we dont have them around where I live. However, who needs it when this shake is so tasty! Thanks for a super easy do-over recipe!

 5. Delicious! I used Godiva hot cocoa mix. I did use milk in place of the water. I also used crunchy peanut butter and omitted the chopped peanuts. We will definitely make this again. Thank you for the recipe.

This site used to be awesome. It was at the top of its game when it was called Recipezaar, but that was many years ago. The site was purchased by Scripps and belly-flopped into mediocrity. A few of the faithful members remained, hoping to wait out the storm of corporate nonsense. But alas, it never got better and just continued on its terminal path to nothingness. So most of the loyal members have vanished and made homes at better recipe sites.
