  1. Perfect for our Derby Dinner party! I've never had a mint julep so I don't have anything to compare this against, but it sounds accurate enough!

  2. This was just perfect for us on Derby Day today. I used fresh mint from the garden and we are on our second round now... Thanks!!

  3. This was not my favorite drink. I thought it tasted like watered down bourbon.

  4. Perfect! My dh and I recently celebrated our anniversary. I searched zaar for a mint julep recipe to make for him; we had a delicious mint julep at a wonderful plantation in Louisiana on our honeymoon. This was just right and he was pleasantly surprised! :)

I live in the beautiful state of South Carolina and have lived here all of my life.I am a police officer and I work in a mid-sized city which comes along with big city stress, so to relieve this stress I took up gardening. I now have an absolutely gorgeous garden with approxamately 30 different kinds of fruits and veggies and it has become my passion. I have always enjoyed cooking but now I can experiment all of the time with the foods I've grown!
