  1. This acorn squash dish is easy and tasty! I forgot to get the squash in the oven before cooking everything else, so I used my handy microwave to get this done quickly. I just poked some holes in the squash with a fork and microwaved it for 5 minutes. Then the squash was tender enough to easily cut in half and scrape out the seeds. After adding the apple filling, I just cooked for about 10 minutes.

  2. I am not sure of the name of this squash but it was wonderful with this recipe. I didn't saute the apples etc ahead of time but mixed all the stuffing ingredients together, filled the cavity, put the hat on and baked it at 375F for almost 2 hours - perfect! Thanks MizzNezz for a super recipe. 16 Oct 08 I make this recipe often - this time I left out the raisins Mmmm

  3. This recipe is awesome. I followed the direction but subbed low fat margarine for the butter and allspice for the nutmeg (my son doesn't like nutmeg). Will definetly make again

  4. Great dish. I cooked in a crockpot on high for 1 - 1-/2 hours, adding 1/2 cup of water, instead of baking.

After DH and I moved away from the farm, and to the city...I haven't done as much cooking and very little canning. But I do come to Zaar and look for new recipes once in a while. I'm still cooking Zaar!! I like to play at Facebook, with my family and friends. A lot of my Zaar friends are there!! Yay! It's a good way to keep in touch. We travel more. We're looking at the European trips now. Hope to go in the springtime. I really want to see London, I think I lived there in a past life, I've been obsessed with it since I was 10 years old!!
