Chicken in Balsamic Barbecue Sauce

- 8 chicken breasts, Medium
- 1 small onion, Finely Chopped
- 1⁄4 cup olive oil
- 3⁄4 cup balsamic vinegar
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 6 tablespoons ketchup
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 4 green onions, Chopped
- 1 chicken bouillon cube, Crushed
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 1 teaspoon dry mustard
- 3 garlic cloves, Finely Chopped
- Tabasco sauce, To Taste
directions
- Combine all ingredients except chicken.
- Marinate chicken in half the sauce for 3 hours or overnight.
- Put remaining marinade aside.
- Remove chicken from marinade, place chicken in foil-lined pan and broil until nicely browned about 10- 20 minutes per side(depending on the size), or grill on the bbq.
- Heat reserved marinade and pour over chicken. Serve.

I made half the marinade for near 1 lb of boneless skinless chicken thighs. But I used a small onion for half marinade. I used brown sugar instead of sugar cause I didn't have sugar. I omitted the salt and pepper. It was in the marinade overnight. Very yummy. We loved that. Thanks Diner :) Made for Holiday tag

I am so impressed and sooo happy I tried this recipe!!! It was scrumptious...I only had two chicken breasts so I halved the ingredients...I saved a bit of the mariiade and heated it in the microwave for 1.5 minutes. I served the heated sauce over the bbq chicken. I served this with fresh baby potatoes and delicious corn on the cob. What an amazing meal.thank you kindly!!!!!!!!!!:) ****Update...made this again and it did not fail to please... I amended it slightly and it was equally as yummy....instead of ketchup I used bullseye barbeque sauce...what a delicious flavour!!!!

I don't like to cook things that require going to specialized grocery stores. I subscribe to several cooking magazines, that usually, require everyday on-hand ingredients. <br /><br />I am not very fond of most seafood, but do enjoy lobster, grilled shrimp and chilean sea bass. I won't cook anything with rosemary or curry, as I really don't like either herbs' flavor. And now from trying recipes, I found that I don't like dijon mustard, but love vinegar and mustard, not sure why I don't like the taste of dijon mustard.</p>
