1. The apple juice was the key ingredient for me. I doubled the ingredients & it still wasn't enough to cover the ham but roast, but the taste was delicious. I cooked a 6 lb. ham on high for 4 hours & it came out very moist but not falling apart which was perfect for carving. Thanks for the nice recipe!

 2. I used a small of what is now called a cottage roll (not like the good old cottage rolls). It came out moist, tender and flavorful. Hardly any work and no fuss. Dinner was enjoyed by all Thanks Audrey for posting this recipe

 3. This is the most tender and flavourful ham I have ever eaten. My husband and I just love it and I think we've found our new way of making ham.

 4. Very easy way to make ham. We enjoyed this very much. I thinly sliced my ham before putting it into the Crockpot. I had a 4-lb ham, but I still doubled the sauce to make sure all of the ham was covered. The sauce is great, but some may find it too sweet. I did add some ground cloves and a little extra Dijon to kind of balance the sweetness. I think you could easily just omit the honey and it would still be great. Thanx for sharing this; I'm going to make this again.

I am a mother of three and live in central Pennsylvania. My children were very active in after school activities and found we weren't spending anytime together at meal time. In 1998, I decided to start cooking my dinners in a crockpot so that we could have a home cooked meal together once everyone came home. My children now get so excited to see what we are having to eat and love the smell when they walk in the door. My family calls me the crock pot queen. LOL I use my crock pot everyday of the year.

My three children are now in college and before they come home they request their favorite meal. I still continue to cook in the crock pot for my husband and I. It is nice after a long day to know your meal is ready. It also helps in keeping my grocery bill down. With zaar, I can print my shopping list and that is all I purchase is the ingredients on that list.

Now, my two daughters have been crock pot cooking while in college. They find it is easy to cook for the themselves and their friends. It is an easy way to have friends over for dinner after classes

I still love trying new recipes and purchasing cookbooks, especially crock pot cookbooks.

Happy Cooking!
