Easy Way Lasagna

"My son says he has eaten lasagna in so many restaurants, trying to find one as good as mine, but never has. So every time we visit him in Michigan I'm sure to make this for him."

  1. WOW WOW WOW!!!! This is the BEST lasagna I have ever had. I cooked 1/2 pound hamburger with a few chopped onions and added that to the sauce. It has a whole lot of flavor, is very moist and cheesy. It was so easy to put together. Even without precooking the noodles, they are as done as if you had cooked them! This one has the perfect taste, We will make it a lot!! THANK YOU!!

  2. Made for a party and amazed people that I had MADE lasagna and not just bought one. So easy and very good. Got a lot of praise for how moist it was. Added ground beef and onions to my sauce but that was it.

  3. We really enjoyed this recipe. It has got to be the easiest lasagna I've ever made! I added ground beef to the sauce. Came out great. Thanks, will be making this one again.

  4. Fantastic!!! This was not only the easiest lasagna I've made, but it was the best one! I made it exactly as written, but used 15 oz of ricotta instead of cottage cheese (due to what I had on hand). I also used 2 jars of sauce instead of 1. I covered the lasagna with foil for the first 45 minutes, then topped with more shredded mozzarella and baked for 15 more minutes uncovered. I let it sit for 10 min before eating and the noodles were cooked perfectly. I will never boil lasagna noodles again!!! We loved this recipe.

  5. My husband and I make this recipe at least once a month. It's truly easy and SO GOOD! I usually cook up some ground Italian Sausage and throw it in the tomato sauce. We look forward to lasagna night because that means we get to eat the leftovers for lunch all week long. YUM!

Tweaks

  1. Yumm!! So easy and came out perfect. I added 1lb of browned ground beef, and italian seasonings to the sauce and doubled the cottage cheese mixture, used 13 noodles instead of 9 and added 3/4C of water. Next time I may add Italian sausage.... Thanks for such an easy recipe!

  2. I made this b/c of all the raving reviews but I found this lasagna to be just fair in taste. I didn't change anything except add fresh basil to the sauce. IF I'm to make this again, I would probably use Ricotta cheese instead of cottage cheese but I doubt it'll be enough to make it better for my taste.

  3. A really easy and delicious lasagna! I used homemade pasta sauce and then added in about a pound of cooked ground beef. I think I used around 3 1/2 - 4 cups of sauce. I also used ricotta cheese instead of cottage cheese. I used a whole 15 ounce container (though it did seem to be the right amount). Finally halfway through I covered it with aluminum foil so that the noodles were still tender and the cheese didn't overcook. Served this with sparkling juice, garlic bread, and salad. Thanks for this simple and great recipe!

  4. I almost....almost went with another more complicated lasagna recipe for our Christmas lasagna and I'm so infinitely glad that I didn't! Made a few changes on the fly like adding 1/2 lb each ground beef and sausage, using 12 noodles instead of 9 (4 across) and added a touch of milk to the cottage cheese mixture since it seemed a little dry. I made this the night before and baked the day of...took me 45 and I covered with foil after the first 30....I can't believe I made a lasagna this tasty from such simple ingredients! Now on to the leftovers!

  5. Very, Very good! The only adjustment we made was using Ricotta Cheese instead of Cottage and it turned out beautifully. No need to ever put a lot of work into lasagna again. This is simple and is very tasty. Give it a try! And the noodles are just as done as if you had cooked them. Perfect consistency. Thanks for posting!

After DH and I moved away from the farm, and to the city...I haven't done as much cooking and very little canning. But I do come to Zaar and look for new recipes once in a while. I'm still cooking Zaar!! I like to play at Facebook, with my family and friends. A lot of my Zaar friends are there!! Yay! It's a good way to keep in touch. We travel more. We're looking at the European trips now. Hope to go in the springtime. I really want to see London, I think I lived there in a past life, I've been obsessed with it since I was 10 years old!!
