Eggs Newport

"This is an excellent egg casserole for a crowd. Cook time does not reflect the time it takes to hard boil the eggs or cook the bacon."

  1. I made this for dinner tonight. It's a delicious, easy meal. I used garlic powder instead of garlic salt as I thought there was enough salt from the cream of mushroom and the called for salt. Also, I used thin slices of leftover beef roast over the english muffins. The eggs were just perfect in this dish smothered in a wonderful sauce. I certainly will make this again using whatever meat I have on hand. Thank you, Nimz!!

  2. This was fantastic. I cut the recipe in half and it was the perfect amount for 4 people. My husband and I are visiting my parents for the weekend so I wanted to make them something special and a little different for breakfast. Everyone loved it. My mom was out of cream of mushroom soup so I used cream of chicken. Thanks so much for posting this delicious breakfast recipe. :)

  3. Very very good. A little salty for my taste but that will easily be adjusted the next time. And there will be a next time! Thanks, Nimz.

  4. Whoa, can you say rich, I reduced the soup to only 2 cans and milk to 1 cup, this was devoured and enjoyed by my family for Saturday brunch thanks for sharing Nimz!...Kitten:)

  5. Today is DH's birthday, breakfast is his favorite meal & I wanted something spec for him b4 he left for work. I prepared a 1/3 recipe last nite, got up early, popped it in the oven & served it over toast points as we do not have Eng muffins here. This is rich & wonderful, Nimz, & would be a great crowd-pleaser for a brunch occasion. I did not feel it needed any of the opt adds, but would prob use 1 or more of them for color on a brunch dish. I wish I had 10* for this one. Thx for sharing the recipe w/us.

I was one of the original members of Recipezaar that was truly a community of individuals that enjoyed each other in forums and chat rooms. I've been a member of this site since 2003. Made some tremendous friends that I still think of often. I'll continue coming here because my recipes are here and so many more that I tried over the years as a member. It's just a tad boring now and just another recipe site like all the rest. Sad.
