1. Excellent easy and yummy crockpot recipe! I used Light sour cream since we don't care for the texture of fat free things, and it was great. I'll make this again, and when I do, I'll throw in a chopped onion. Thanks!

 2. I fixed this tonight and we really liked it. Very easy and readily fixed with most of ingredients on hand. Since we are moving I'm trying to use up my kitchen staples, so used celery soup instead of mushroom; garlic & herb seasoning instead of the onion soup and added fresh, sliced, sauteed mushrooms toward the end of cooking time. It was great, will try it with the "right" ingredients again.

 3. This was very tasty and it smelled wonderful while cooking. A little too much liquid but everything I make in the crockpot is. We enjoyed this!!

 4. Tried this dish last night. It was great! DH liked it too. I used full-fat soup, never-frozen chicken, 8 oz. of regular sour cream, and added a drained can of sliced mushrooms. Cooked it in the crockpot on high for 4 hours. The chicken pretty much fell apart. I served it over egg noodles. I'll make it again and will probably add some sliced onions. Very good and rich as is.

 5. WOW!!!!!!! This was easy and delicios. I did quite a few modifications. I used regular sour cream and mushroom soup. I didn't use the crockpot, I browned the chicken in butter on the stove top,(added) sauteed onions and mushroom in a seperate pan, mixed remaining ingredients then added soup mixture, onions and mushrooms to the chicken. Simmered 20 minutes and voila a quick easy delicious dinner!!!

Tweaks

 1. Used full fat sour cream; Healthy Request Cream of Mushroom soup and a fresh onion, garlic powder and Mrs. Dash seasoning for more flavor.

 2. I loved this recipe! I was afraid it would taste way different than beef stroganoff (which I love) but it really didn't. Using the cream of mushroom made it taste just how I like it, even though I was using chicken instead. Oh and it seemed a little runny when it was done so I added cornstarch in cold water to thicken it up and it worked great. Thanks for this easy recipe!

 3. Very quick and easy crockpot recipe! The chicken is a good surprise as I've only had stroganoff with beef. Prefer this recipe with rice instead of pasta. Overall, good recipe to have in your arsenal :)

 4. This was good, but it didn't taste like stroganoff. If you aren't expecting stroganoff, then you'll probably like it. It as SUPER easy to make. I like that I almost always have the ingredients on hand.

Things I did differently: I took the inside pot of my crock pot out the night before and put it in the fridge with all the ingredients. This allowed the chicken to thaw in the pot overnight. I also added onions, garlic, and green peas. I also used light sour cream instead of fat free.

I ate it on white rice the first night. The second night, I ate it over a pile of romaine lettuce. The romaine lettuce gave it a GREAT crunch without the extra calories of noodles or rice. I didn't miss the rice at all (which is weird because I LOVE rice).

Overall: simple, easy to make, quick, and low calorie.

 5. We loved this recipe. After finding a recipe to replace canned soups i use it for everything...so i used "Cream Soup Mix (Replacement for Cream of __Soups) Recipe #57287". LOVED it my whole family had 3rds each including my picky 2.5 year old. I served this over white rice and it was great. my husband told me not to tell him that it only took about 10ish minutes to prepare because it tasted like it took much longer! I did also add a little bit more chicken and a little more water when mixing the soup because there was worry about the salt flavor. this is a great dish when the day goes crazy with 3 small children or anyday for that matter!! THANKS!
