Spicy Szechuan Shrimp Stir-Fry (Low Fat)

"Asian chili-garlic sauce may be found in the Asian section of any major supermarket or in any Asian grocery store, If you like more heat then increase the red pepper flakes, but be careful as the chili-garlic sauce is spicy also! The shrimp needs to marinate for 30 minutes, prep time includes marinating time, you may want to double this it very good!"

  1. Delicious! I added a whole bunch of vegetables to make it a complete meal: green beans, bean sprouts, carrots, mushrooms, shredded cabbage. Great for those on WW, as the shrimp is the only thing with points, and those are very low.

  2. This has become a regular in our home.

  3. Tasteful stir-fry, Kittencal. I generally have all the ingredients on hand so I know we'll be having this again. It was quick and easy to throw together but tasted like I'd slaved to get everything just right. It would be simple to add a few more vegetables if desired.

  4. I made this using 1 pound tiger shrimp and 1 pound scallops. I didn`t use chicken broth just good old water. I mixed everything from the water[broth] to the sugar in 1 bowl, I found no need for 2 bowls. I used a Thai chili-garlic sauce and found this to be pleasantly spiced. I think when making again I will up the heat! I served this with Fried rice recipe # 152285. This is a quick, very flavorful recipe, a must make recipe!

  5. I made these for my mom and I the last time I was down visiting. We both loved them! Just the right amount of spice and heat (on a daring day, I may even increase it). We ate this with white rice and the only thing I would maybe change is to double the sauce ingredients so there was more for the rice. Yum -MY. Kitten, your recipes are always a hit!!
