Scrambled Eggs Hotel Style... Very Simple

"When I was a newlywed 15 years ago, I burned eggs every time I made them and the only way to get GOOD scrambled eggs was to go out for them. One day I saw a cooking show and it changed how I made eggs. Today my whole family loves this fluffy, delicious breakfast dish. My own mother who is a great cook extraordinaire loves these and when she just recently learned the secret was shocked at how simple it is. So without further ado, here is the recipe for Hotel Style Eggs"

Reviews

 1. This makes excellent eggs, Please ignore the review that says NEVER add water. I''ve heard many times over that adding cold water and whisking the eggs gets more air whipped in to make fluffy and tender eggs! It has nothing to do with feeding more people and saving money! The proportions are perfect for the egg/water/butter mix. I will remember this from now on! Thanks for posting Robyn! Made for When It's Hot Tag Game.

 2. Great scrambled eggs! I scaled the recipe to 3 eggs, 3 T. of water, and 3 t. margarine. Turned out very fluffy and delicious. I added these eggs into the fried rice that I was cooking.

 3. NEVER add water to eggs! The only reason hotels, restaurants add water is to make the eggs go further, so they don't have to use as many! The only thing you need to scramble eggs is butter in the pan, and eggs--that's it! Try it, you'll like it!

 4. Wow, I can't believe that all it takes is water to make it as delicious as in a restaurant! I am the worst cook in the world, but can finally proudly say I can make a mean batch of scrambled eggs. Thank you Robyn!

 5. It turned out ok,

Tweaks

 1. try mayonaise instead of water (same ratio), mix well with eggs than add i teaspoon of butter, it will turn out rich and creamy.

 2. Cut the recipe in half I couldn't eat 6 eggs to myself

 3. I thought these were pretty good. I made them exactly as written, using margarine instead of whipped butter. I'm not very picky about my scrambled eggs, and have tried a few recipes, never having a bad experience. There's another recipe I've made a few times that uses a little milk, and I was a little skeptical that this recipe didn't. It might be subjective, but I think these eggs turned out a little "solider" than the other recipe, and maybe even cooked a bit faster - it seemed like it was ready in just a couple of minutes. The eggs might have been a tad on the blander side, not having milk in them, but they were still good. Like I said, I'm not picky about scrambled eggs, but I had a good experience with this recipe, and can easily recommend it.

 4. I have made these eggs a couple of times now and forgot to review them. I cut this recipe in 1/2 and it turns out great! I have always been told to use cold water instead of milk in my scrambles. I will continue to make them this way. Thanks for posting this here!

I live near Dallas, Texas with my husband and 2 children. I am a very busy at home mother who actually feels more on the go than at home.

I love all sorts of cook books however I have gotten more use out of the Better Homes and Gardens Cookbook than any other. I also love my Dallas Museum of Art's Cookbook which I got about 9 years ago. The food and presentations in that book are fabulous!

My passions include making a warm, loving and nurturing enviroment for my family, going to church, friendships, gardening, designing indoor and outdoor spaces, cooking, listening to music, watching ballet, DWTS and dancing for exercise and above all things, Christ.

My pet peeve is people who tell you they don't mean to be rude.
With comments like that, they are meaning to tell you something rude and offending. Other than that I can't think of any other pet peeves.

In all, my family, they are true gifts from above. I truly count my lucky stars for having such pleasant, thoughtful, generous and kind hearted children and a fantastic, gentle, honest husband who I have been married to since June 30, 1990.
