"This recipe makes a lovely appetizer when arranged on a serving platter and surrounded with fresh flowers. It's from the cookbook "Culinary Masterpieces From the Birmingham Museum of Art"."

  1. I've had this several times and can attest to the flavor and ease of preperation. I'd like to suggest what we do, and use Raspberry preserves instead of strawberry. You get a rich red color and a different, not so sweet taste!

  2. My aunt makes this for family get togethers and everybody loves it! I made it for the first time this past weekend for my work Christmas party and everyone raved about it. People were hesitant to try it with the strawberry preserves at first, but everyone must have liked it in the end- both the cheese ring and the preserves were completely gone by the end of the party.

  3. This is a recipe that my family has been making for years and is truely a tradition at get togethers. I had to post 5 stars because this recipe is so easy and delicious! I have even used the leftovers (when there are some), put it on bread and toast.

  4. The cheese spread for this recipe is fabulous. The blend of sharp cheddar and onion is excellent on multi-grain crackers. The pecans add an interesting texture contrast. I, personally, love the strawberry jam addition. It reminded me of the flavors of a good Monte Cristo sandwich. Several of my guests weren't sold on the sweet with savory idea, but did gobble the cheese spread on its own. Thanks for posting.
