Foolproof Pie Crust

"My mother in law gave me this handed down recipe as a welcome to the family gesture 20+ years ago and it's still the best one I've come across. It's the flakiest crust I've ever made and fairly easy too. Hope you enjoy!"

  1. My mother gave me this recipe years 30+ years ago, and it hasn't failed me yet. Make sure you use all-purpose flour. I used bread flour once and it didn't roll out as well. My husband raves about my pies to everyone - he is in love with this crust!

  2. I made this yesterday for my pumpkin pie recipe. This is the perfect pie crust, flaky, rich and bakes to a perfect golden color without getting too dark. Thank you for such a great recipe. This is the only pie crust recipe I'll ever use from here on out.

  3. I love this pie crust... it is the exact recipe that my southern grandmother has always made. Thanks for posting- it is delicious!!!

Hi all! I'm just your average Mom that loves to cook and bake. I've always had a curious nature so it's no surprise that I love to try all different recipes I find and add my own little touch here and there. I'm also a nascar addict, and appreciate anything of vintage such as old cars, motorcycles , etc. I'm also a music buff and it doesn't matter what kind, I love it all! My kids are an endless source of pride and joy for me, and now that I have a grandson I get to spoil and get away with it! My kids seem to have enjoyed being mom's "guinnea pigs" when it comes to eating what I've made. That tells me I must be doing something right! Friends and family haven't ever complained either! I just love creating a memory from a meal and hope by sharing what I have , more can do the same.
